Chapter 4

“Obelisk?” Jack questioned Owen

“Yeh we got bored waiting for it to light up so we named it. So what do you want us to do?”

“Right take it to the place where all this trouble started”

Jack hung up and turn to see Ianto looking at him. Jack could see from him face that he wasn’t going to like this.

“Your leaving?…… will I ever see you again?” Ianto said

“No!………………. not this time”

Ianto look confused

“A another time and place” Jack said “I hope” he said to himself

Jack got up to leave he didn’t want to look back.

He open the bedroom door when Ianto called his name.

“Why are you leaving like this?”

“You won’t understand I’m sorry Ianto”

“Then please explain it too me”

Jack smiled

“I will but not this time. Goodbye Ianto”

Ianto looked are the space where Jack are stood, what had just happen he thought to himself.

“Jack we are over hear” called Gwen

“so what’s your plan” Owen said with the alight Obelisk in his hand

“Right Owen you are going to stand there” Jack pointed to the spot where Owen was standing when he first pressed that button. “and press that button. Hopefully it will take us back to the moment that Gwen stopped Ianto’s mum getting run over. That car needs to hit his mother. For us to get Ianto back at Torchwood”

“But we will see ourselves” said Gwen

“Then we are going to have be careful. Press the button Owen”

At that moment The three them were staring at the back of themselves.

“Quick hide behind that car” Jack said pushing Gwen and Owen.

The three of them watch themselves arguing over the Obelisk. They watch Gwen walk towards young Ianto and they saw a woman at standing outside here front door.

The Car sped around the corner, Jack leaped up and run towards Gwen

“Jack” called Owen quietly so there over selves wouldn’t hear and Jack didn’t hear either.

Jack could see Gwen going towards the Ianto. Ianto’s mother shouted “look out.”

Ianto step back. Gwen saw that the car was about to hit Ianto’s mother before she could save her Jack pulled her back. The car hit the women Gwen looked on in horror. Jack hide so his other self wouldn’t see him

“Gwen, think I know how to get us back.” Owen shouted

Gwen looked around, how did Jack get back so quickly so thought with a puzzled look on her.

“Gwen there is nothing we can do we shouldn’t even be here my sorry” Jack told her.

And with that they were gone.

Owen and Gwen looked on

“Where did Jack go” Owen looked around trying not to be seen by young Ianto.

“We have to help him” Gwen said

“No” Jack said surprising the Gwen and Owen “I want to get back”

Owen pressed the button and they were back it was dark and raining.

“Oh no” said Owen “I hate the rain”

“Come on I want to get back to the hub, I sure hope this has worked” Jack said

Gwen and Owen entered the hub Jack took a deep breathe before he entered.

“There you lot are!” shouted Tosh “I’ve been trying to call you for the last 5 hours I got no answer I was getting worried”

“Is Ianto about” Jack asked his voiced sounded worried.

“5 hours you lot were gone” she went on “so what happened”

“Tosh where is Ianto?” Jack shouted

“Here” Ianto called

The three of them call breathe a sigh of relief.

“Ianto could I have word in my office please. Gwen Owen can you explain to Tosh what happened” Jack ordered

Jack was sitting at his desk. Ianto was a little worried but was surprised when Jack asked about his parents. Ianto didn’t really want to talk about it but Jack made him feel comfortable so he open up.

“My mum died when I was 15.……. I think my father blamed me for her death.”

“Did he say he blamed you” Jack asked

“No but After she died we never got on I just knew he did.”

“Maybe he just found it hard losing his wife, and he found it hard to show you how he really felt” Jack said “did he know you like men and women?”

“No He didn’t know that I like men and women my mum knew, she worked it out” Ianto smiled “she told me I should tell him but I never did and after my mum died I just found it harder to tell him. As I got older, we grew farther a part. I’ve not seen him for years.”

“Why don’t you find him and talk to him” Jack said

“He won’t understand”

“He might surprise you”

“I haven’t see him for years”

“His your dad Ianto” Jack smiled.

Ianto walked up to the door. How did Jack talk him into this. He looked back and saw Jack seating in the SUV urging Ianto to knock on the door. Ianto stood not sure what to do when the door opened.

“Ianto”

“Dad”

Ianto’s dad pulled him close for a hug

“I’ve been looking for since the day you left. It’s so good to see you. Come in”

Ianto went into the house it didn’t look like it changed much.

“Why did you go Ianto?” his dad asked

“You blamed me for mum death, I found it heard to live here”

“Oh Ianto, I never blamed you it was an accident. I’m sorry it broke my heart when she died and I’m sorry it seem like I blamed you. I wished you had talk to me” He hug Ianto again tears roll down his face. “I’m sorry” he kissed the top of his head.

Tears rolled down his face. Ianto didn’t know if he should tell his dad about Jack and being bisexual he had just made up with him.

The Ianto bit the bullet and told him. And to his surprise he knew, well he had his suspicions and was relived that Ianto had finally told him.

After a couple of hours Jack saw Ianto coming out of the house huging his dad and smiling.

The Door of the SUV opened and Ianto smiled and kissed Jack.

“What was that for?”

“Thank you, you were right he did understand. If it wasn’t for you I don’t think me and dad would of ever made up.”

Iano put on his seat belt and Jack started the car as he did so he said “It’s not me you should thank but Gwen”

“What?”

“Nothing” Jack smiled “It’s in the past, I’ll tell you someday…………. Right lets get back to the hub.”

The end
